Requires batteries.  The activity jumper does requires 3 C batteries which does mean an additional cost. On the positive side though, I didn't see any complaints of the jumper wearing them out fast so you shouldn't have to replace them too often, especially if you buy a good quality battery.

Costs more than a doorway jumper.  The Baby Einstein Activity Jumper costs about 2 to 3 times what most doorway jumpers cost. But it is priced in line with what an exersaucer costs and considering all the activities it offers, it is certainly not overpriced for what you get. If you are on a tight budget however, you might want to consider doorway jumpers since they are cheaper.
